Rapid Fear

When Amy Brackstone and her best friend, Valerie, join a tour group and head into the Utah wilderness, they get much more adventure than they bargained for. A series of near-perilous events puts Amy on high alert and forces her to relive painful memories. The only saving grace is Jonah Stedman, their tour guide, who is strong, capable, and hell-bent on keeping everyone alive—Amy most of all.
Amy isn’t sure why Jonah constantly saves the day wherever she’s concerned, but after a while, she gets used to him sweeping her off her feet. Danger builds the deeper into the canyon lands her group goes, and Amy must set aside the emotions swirling in her heart and focus. There’s more to the mayhem than coincidence. But if her past has taught her anything, it’s that she has to be careful or risk dooming them all. 
Ex-SWAT team member Jonah Stedman has a secret he can’t share. Least of all with Amy, who is at the very center of it. He keeps his distance while leading the tour, yet when danger ensues, he’s the first to act. He soon suspects that one of the tourists is sabotaging their expedition. But who—and why? Whether it’s out of duty, love, or both, he’s determined to keep Amy safe.
Using his survival skills and Amy’s knowledge of the land, they search for the culprit, hoping to bring the person to justice before the tour ends—or the killer ends them. Yet the more they hunt, the more they realize that the enemy will stop at nothing to get his way. To stay alive, they have to use all of their resources and stay one step ahead in the most dangerous cat-and-mouse game ever played.
